Incorporated in 1986, Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club is a group of community minded men and women giving something back to the youth and community through networking, fellowship, and community service. We are a key part of an international service organization committed to serving youth by creating a more optimistic future through creative programs. We endeavor to make a difference in a child's life.
The Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club offers opportunities for fun and community involvement. The motto of Optimist International is "Friend of Youth." Our club strives to live up to that motto by supporting the development of youth in a number of ways, some of which are listed on our SERVICES page.
Be sure to check out our CALENDAR page for upcoming speakers and events.
Your Participation Counts
Open to everyone, Camarillo Noontime Optimist Club believes the more diverse the population the better. Visitors are always welcome to come to the Monday noon meetings at Money Poncho Restaurant on Las Posas to have lunch or just listen to the guest speakers and their presentations. On occasion we will visit places in the area for our Monday meetings, like the Joel McCrea Visitor Center or the Calleguas Water District Office and Facility, among others. Whether visiting local schools, honoring “Youth We Appreciate” students from the community, sponsoring the “Red Ribbon Week” Essay Contest, helping needy families during the school year, or other events, we encourage volunteers to join us in our efforts.
You can learn more about our association by coming to one of our weekly meetings. Meetings are held at the Camarillo Boys & Girls Club , Mondays at noon .
